Oh, N. Hang in there. I promise (it might feel like an eternity), but they do sleep eventually - through the night even.
When Sarah was just a few weeks old, I also thought I would never sleep again. I remember holding her in bed crying (as she cried) begging her to please sleep. It will get easier. Wish I could be there to give you a break.
It's worst from 4-6 weeks. And then gets better and better after that. Can H take care of him for a night except when you're BFing so that you can get some sleep? If you can get a few hours in a row it makes all the difference!

My kids still don't sleep much at six months old. But yeah, its longer than 45 minutes. Its hard isn't it?
It does get better.
